Most of the saints we will learn about are in Loyola Kids Book of Saints (ages 6-10)
Week 1: Any book about St. Juan Diego and Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Week 2: These books can be read throughout the whole course of study. Students who will write a book report are asked to deliver it by Week 5. They would present it at our Fiesta party.
Week 3: My family visited three of the missions last summer and I have Bl. Serra’s diary which parts we will read in class. Anything about California Missions (Caution: some of the books will not tell the true story about the missions, implying cruelty of the Franciscan methods of evangelization – simply omit these parts 
)
Week 4 & 5: Books about Alamo and Davy Crockett or History of Mexico.
